We all know that plaid
has been around but its just getting more attention of late. Most of us
avoid plaid because it was mostly worn by farmers and is a common staple
for school uniforms but it has become a chic outfit if you know how to
put it together.
1. When wearing plaid to work, try to be careful when combining it to
avoid looking like you are wearing pajamas to work. When pulling this
look to work, put your look together by tucking in or adding a blazer to
 your ensemble.
2. Find a balance between keeping it simple and dressing it up
excessively. Pair it with a classy pencil skirt or well-tailored trouser
 pants.
3. Make sure that your hair and makeup are in check! Avoid hairstyles
such as ponytail, braids etc. Every other styles is relatively
acceptable.
4. Accessorize with gold, silver or other pops of colour to help blend
the fabric into a more cohesive look

Corporate Drapes #26: Wearing Plaid to Work
Americans call it Plaid, Scotts call it Tartan……but
whatever you call it, it is a pattern consisting of crossed horizontal and
vertical bands in two or more colors in woven cloth. The versatility of this
pattern cannot be over emphasized as patterns can be differentiated just by
changing the size or colour of a line in the patterns. In case you missed the previous post on Plaid, click here...
Plaid Friday .
Gone are those days when plaid was worn by mainly Scottish farmers .....These days, people of all colour, race, educational qualification &
fashion orientation ROCK IT!
Play your plaid to work by combining it tastefully and you
are sure to turn heads. I 'm an advocate of pairing plaid  with plain
colours……………..i think it’s stylish, chic and oh! soooo beautiful!
I guess Burberry knew what he was doing when he chose his
signature pattern!
