Half Guipure, Half Another!!!

Don’t break the bank ladies…….Spice up your Guipure with more
For a while now, Aso ebi  has taken over the party scene in Nigeria, and it is practically the invitation to  parties. If you are like me with a robust list of family and friends, with one person or the other throwing a party practically every week, you need help with not breaking the bank!!!
These Aso ebis are getting more and more expensive and now range in price from 15k to whatever…….. and when you have to buy a few every month, your account balance is probably groaning! I have good news ladies, there is a way to attend these functions in style, looking glamorous and chic! The best part is you get to spend only half the cost!

There are arrays of style now that you can make with just a few yards of the Aso ebi and a few yards of not. Giupure lace especially comes to mind since it seems to be the reigning fabric now and the versatility cannot be over stated. You can mix it with Satin, Cotton, Organza………. A lil bit of this and a lil bit of that will make you smile.
The secret is to know where to ‘lace up’ and where to not and if you have a good tailor, you can only end up looking fantastic!!!  So don’t break the bank ladies, break out the styles!!! *wink* *wink*

Garb a Cape.....Aso ebi

When you think of super-heroes, you probably think of people possessing extraordinary talents, supernatural phenomena, or superhuman powers who protect humanity from evil. When you think of their clothes, a Cape will probably come to mind. Now, what you probably don’t know is that another set of people now wear capes, I call them Fashion - heroes!

These capes can be sewn on a lot of styles with Aso ebi, I think it looks best though on a style that has some form of silhouette after the cape. The capes give you an elegant look and there are amazing opportunities to tailor them to your own personal style.

So be it on a skirt, a dress or even pants, be your own brand of super Hero ladies, garb a cape!

Sizzle in Sequins this Yuletide

Sequins are disk-shaped beads used for decorative purposes. Before now, they were used sparingly on clothing, jewelry, bags, shoes and lots of other accessories. They were cautiously used, mostly to make designs. As the world of fashion gets bolder though, we are beginning to see whole fabrics made of sequins and they just dazzle and dazzle and dazzle!!!  The sheer brilliance of the fabric can make your jaw drop!!

Sequins have a glossy pearly finish that reflect light and gives the illusion of ripples; on a woman’s body…………it simply sizzles!  It is also versatile and can be made into practically any design so the only thing that limits you is your imagination.*wink*
