A Riot!.... of Colour

Color Blocking is a term used to describe the combination of essential solid colours all in an Outfit. Some people say this trend is last season but I beg to differ, This season, we've seen a lot of our favorite Celebrities, color block in some of their outfits. Designers such as Gucci, Alexandre Herchcovitch and Miu Miu have created a great collection this season, and it’s all about Colours!

Katy Perry and Rihanna are famous for their colour blocking skills and as a matter of fact, Katy Perry can be seen on the cover of Elle Magazine working a Gucci outfit, and color blocking from head to toe with an Blue shirt, Green blazer, and Purple pants with a gold belt to match.............Awesome Combo!

We can almost see the tiny beads of sweat forming on your forehead from trying to figure out the Scientific calculation behind stacking solids on solids to create a Chic colour paradigm with clothing.  The easiest way to figure this out is to first know the most popular groupings of solid colors and then....................

Ohk.....ohk!! those are the rules.....but if u just wanna have fun, just combine colours that are pleasing to the eyes and don't clash so badly. Some people recommend combining a light pallet colour with a dark one while some others say combine feminine n masculine colours. Whatever you choose though, one tip to remember is knowing the colours that complement each other;that is why the use of a colour wheel is very helpful.

Colour blocking might sound fun,but you can't just pile up any colour that you have in you wardrobe....... I did that once and boy! I did look like a clown! You don't want that Ladies........trust me! While you wanna give off the sunny feeling of having just seen a rainbow, you definitely don't wanna look like one!

As for your feet,Shoes are another hot trend for color blocking, even though it isn't as recognized as clothing. We see a lot of two-toned shoes that make a statement on and off the red carpet, they make your feet pop and add a spring to your steps.

Trust me, u won't be able to resist stepping into a party this season with them! So block your clothes or block your Shoes, just ensure you have loads n loads of fun because what else screams FUN better than Colours? I mean just ask Indians about their Holi festival! *wink*
